Karma Is A Binge

Literally on the heels of my The Last of Us binge, after a quick six-hour nap, I jumped back into my Max subscription and fired up season one episode one of The White Lotus.

With only two quick sleep stops to break it up, I pretty much ripped through all three seasons in two days. What a ride!

I had seen the ads for this show on my Amazon Prime feed. They try to push subscriptions to all the prime channels that you can subscribe through them all the time and constantly try to entice viewers with little previews of their top shows.

But I think it was Saturday Night Live's spoof last week that really got me interested. Once I read all the comments saying that the vibe, the music, and even the characterizations, albeit repurposed for political satire's sake as Trump and his troop of monkeys, we're all spot on, I knew it was a show I had to dig into.

Creepy, psychological, deep, thought provoking, beautifully shot, sexy, and full of rizz, these are the prime HBO and Showtime shows I love to dive into once I open up my dusty wallet and shell out for some quality time with these channels. And surely this show did not disappoint.

I'm not going to get into a whole synopsis of the show, you can look that up elsewhere, but I thought the premise was really unique and very well done, all while maintaining a good strong foothold in tried and true mystery, suspense, family-dynamics, socio-economic-dynamics, and a splash of night time risqué content territory. I'll definitely be reenlisting with Max, I guess, next year for the fourth season for sure.

Until then, we'll always have the SNL spoof video I mentioned above:
