Totos Like This

So in my previous post, I included a clip of a New Yorker journalist, invited author guests and special guest Alex Gibney, filmmaker responsible for "Musk." In it, Gibney, when asked about the dubious talents of Elon Musk and Donald Trump, he questioned their commonly ascribed and self-aggrandized skills (business acumen, logistics, wealth management, etc.) as mediocre to down-right poor at best, but did acknowledge they both held top honors in one particular trait: showmanship. They were great at being the man behind the curtain while they dazzled those that could be held at bay with imagery of a glowing, giant head. To this idea, Alex chuckled and metaphorically wished we as a nation could be more aware of these guys' shenanigans and be able to pull back that velvet shroud to expose them for what they really are more frequently by stating "It would pay for us to hire a lot more Totos."

Well we do have the ability, We The People, as good Stewards of The Land as we are, to hire the right people as our good doggo Totos, metaphorically. We just have to know how to pick 'em. Unfortunately, at the time, there's been a bit of a dry spell down at the ol' Democratic Party and there just ain't that many qualified applicants... if you get my drift.

But, at least Michigan has its chance.

They got an applicant for the job who seems more than fit and willing to do the job. And to do it right.

Listen to Abdul El-Sayed in the clip posted to the Trumpvirus subreddit linked below. This is how we need to be talking. This is how we need to be acting. This is what we need right now. Not this "wait and see game." What the fuck is the national Democratic leadership doing? It's almost 2027 for fucks sake! By this point in past cycles, we'd be hearing at least rumblings of who'd be queueing up for the '28 Prez run by now. What do we hear from the Dems? Crickets. 'Cause they want to see DJT implode. Yes, I get it. But really, why wait? Start shit now. And don't mince words. Time for olde fashioned nice guy style politics went out with Bentsen admonishing Quayle that he was no Jack Kennedy.

Win that Senate seat Mr. El-Sayed and please knock some sense into your sisters and brothers when you get to ol' Washington to put someone like you on our ballot for the big race in just two years. (heck... what about you? wink wink)

Arf! Arf! Yes Toto! Tell it like it is, bitch!
