Yes Sally, pitch it for me, I need the help. And the math is right. $6.93 a day for a month equals the amount my SNAP benefits just got reduced; from $298 to just $90 a month. Well, I knew getting a regular income would have an impact and here it is. Of course I've planned for this so I'm not really e-begging; I'll be okay. My budget for 2026 had already been built with a total revocation of all SNAP benefits in this year when I made it in December so I guess still getting something is better than nothing. But I think it's a sad thing when a Social Security income of just $1363 a month makes you only eligible for just $90. And of course all this while food prices are continuing to escalate and show no sign of stopping. This makes me want to almost cut down on food altogether and get fit and be more active and participate in my community more and be a constructive member of the sheeple force and be more vivacious in my consumerism and pay taxes dammit and... wait a minute...
Won't you help? Sally is crying for me.
EDIT: Oh no Sally, make that $9.93 a day now.
I knew Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill" included changes that, amongst other "fuck yous" to the poor, featured a dramatic increase in the age limit for the SNAP ABAWD requirements in receiving benefits. Basically, like unemployment, making "able-bodied" recipients work so many hours per month, or get cut. But I thought it'd be, like unemployment, just an easy report-in system where you just tell them you applied for jobs and shit. I figured if this was imposed on me since the new age limit is 64, I'd just lie to them, like I did with unemployment, and all would be fine, albeit a little bit of a pain in the ass for me having to fake my regular reports to them. Well, I got the notice today, June 28. I'm "drafted." And it's not simply reporting, you have to work, or volunteer or some such bullshit for at least 80 hours a month or you need to attend mandatory training sessions in person at their job training site.
Fuck no. For $90? They can keep it. I'm not that desperate. Yet.
I'll just hit Sally up for whatever I need, right Gloria?
