Oh yes, it's a whole big media event, with a big crowd cheering these workers on their scaffold in the middle of the night, as they prepare to carry out the court-ordered removal of Donald Trump's name from the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. And yes, it's all LIVE!

Watching MS NOW on YouTube and there are 79,725 watching right now. The workers are still assembling their scaffolding and haven't begun even touching the letters yet. Wait 'till they do, I'm sure both the crowd there and the online chat will go wild.

11:33 Not sure how long this'll take. These guys sure do seem to be taking their time putting their structure together. Well, safety. of course, but it could be that they're gonna be at it for a few hours. I mean, they're not just going to hack away at the metal letters embedded in the marble (no matter how satisfying that may look), they can't damage the wall too much. I would guess they'll try to do it carefully so as to keep the holes down to a minimum so they can be plugged up (hopefully) seamlessly so that afterwards no one would be able to ever tell this desecration had occurred in the first place.

11:41 I'm doing random screencaps of the chat, by the way, and sorry about the blur, it's just that the quick clip software doesn't capture in great resolution so I usually clean it up in post editing but during LIVE BLOGs I try to be quick and dirty about this so I figure we can all just deal with the lack of sharpness a bit so I can stay focused on the goings on. Yet this shit is admittedly pretty boring since it's just these guys building their scaffold and the sound of the assembled crowd milling about watching them and occasionally cheering and chanting. I'm sure these workers never usually get an audience so this is something they can talk with their family at the end of their shift about, huh?
11:48 Well it looks like one of the guys banged some spike or something anchoring the support pole against the wall directly into the marble so I guess to keep the structure safe they do have to do some structural damage to part of the wall. Maybe they'll put some putty on that later. LOL

11:52 Crowd chanting, clapping and cheering so loudly, yelling appreciatively at the guys up there. They seem to be taking it all in with stride. Sadly, they're typical MAGA demographics so it probably breaks their heart to hear the massive crowd assembled that hates their "hero" so much and that they have to destroy his name on this building. Oh well, they gotta do their job.

The second one of them even touches a letter, the cheers will be deafening. Trump himself will hear it all the way from The White House a couple miles away!

1:11 The workers just started lifting what looks like a tarp up and the crowd and chat are roaring their displeasure that they'll be covering up their removal so we can't see. Trump himself must be behind this telling the contractors to do that so there won't be embarrassing photos in the morning news everywhere of the letters coming down.
1:18 Writing on the tarp says "Flame Retardant" so I'm sure the excuse will be that it's going up as a safety measure. Bullshit. It's a boldfaced cover-up, like so much of what Trump does.
