No I haven't time warped back to like 2006 and gotten trapped in an episode of LOST or something, I'm literally going back to my fav lil' MSC Ocean Cay private cruise line island (and Nassau, big whoop), and will be bathing in the tepid turquoise waves of the Bahamas. Well, in September. I know! I never book this far out, I'm usually a 90-day-ticker shopper. But I decided to check out specifically searching singles rate bargains on Vacations To Go and saw MSC pricing 4-night Bahamas runs outta Miami (yes, just like last year) in September for 'bout two-fiddie! Dats right homes, I just booked it last night... $258, (2% single supplement) all fees and taxes included, on the MSC Seaside.
So this'll make the third Seaside-class ship. First I cruised Seashore in '24, Seascape last year and now Seaside herself in September.
Inside Guarantee, of course, but, get this, they basically state right up front while booking that it includes a free upgrade to a balcony. Now the confirmation email didn't confirm that bit, but I know what I saw and I'm gonna hold 'em to it. Being so far out they haven't assigned cabins yet of course so I'll just wait patiently until, I think August sometime, when they do. I'm sure like the other two trips it'll be seamless. I love MSC, say what you will about some of their peculiarities, I seem to always get a good deal with them.
BTW, the above pic is not some professional promotional photograph I snagged off MSC's site or something, I took it with my phone last year as we sailed away in the early morning after spending the night there. Not bad, huh? The one below is though. She looks pretty much identical to her two sister ships so unfortunately I won't get the full thrill of new exploration feeling walking around her but shit, at these prices, who cares, I'm off to de island man!
EDIT: Oh but now this news just came out. No wonder the prices were so cheap...
