Did I Uncover The Fake Of The Century?

Okay, first off, I didn't break my promise. Really. This isn't a space post. This might be something... bigger.

Also, I just now (11pm) posted this to the conspiracy subreddit there and we'll see how it trends...

So basically, you see in the previous post the picture of Earth taken by astronaut Reid Weisman onboard the Orion spacecraft and photoshopped, admittedly, by me. I thought legitimately that the bright spot in the somewhat center of the image was a reflection artifact off the glass of the portal window picked up by the camera. Reid, from what I read, snapped this pic not from the very high-res Nikon cameras they have that I would assume would be designed to eliminate any reflection problems somehow, but from his "personal computing device" or whatever their calling them, basically his iPhone or iPad that they all have up there. This would also explain why this image isn't as high res as this one he shot with the better camera:

I made the first picture above compositing two images. The two are taken from this CNN article allowing the reader to use a slider to compare the different views of essentially the same view of the Earth at varying shutter speeds. The lighter one shows the bright spot, the darker one doesn't. Why? Clouds? It would have still shown up on the "darker" pic like the clouds around it. If it's a reflection from inside the cabin on the glass of the portal/window, did the crew agree to shut down ALL the lights in order to snap the "darker" shot? Unlikely. Did Reid do a better job obscuring or occluding the refracting light in the window in the right hand shot? Then why didn't he do so with the left hand one? Well, because he's not a photographer, he a freakin' astronaut!

I'm not a conspiracy nut. I know the explanation is something akin to the last statement or something. He's snapping shots with a freakin' phone and he's not a trained photographer. I should cut him a break. But geez, Reid, you should know there are thousands, nay, tens or hundreds of thousands who vehemently deny Apollo missions ever happened and think it was all faked. You gotta keep everything beyond the scope of skepticism. Or did y'all just fuck up and release a picture that accidentally shows the staged lighting of your fake Earth shot?

Hold on, someone's knocking loudly at my door...

OH SHIT!!!

EDIT: Seriously though, my post is gaining a bit of traction. But man, when you post on r/conspiracy, you better be prepared for what responses you're gonna get. Only one person replying like above that it might be a mistaken reflection and he actually brought up a good point that the reason it isn't in the second darker pic is because it only showed up in the brighter one due to longer exposure time. Ah yes, brings back memories of Photography 101. Likely solved. I didn't reply that though, I want the cra cra's to get my karma score up. Cra cra's like this dude who IM'd me wanting me to post this pic for him since "he's blocked." Wonder why he's blocked from the conspiracy subreddit. How batshit do you have to be to get that ban? Anyway, here's his "theory."

No I didn't post it for him. If he's blocked, I'm not "aiding and abetting." His diagram seems to show he's a flat earther to boot. Oh brother.

EDIT 2: More info. Someone else shared a better quality image and seemed confident it was a reflection. There's also a pretty good indication of the edge of the portal/window of the capsule on the left side. Furthermore, it's stated that the picture was in fact taken by the Nikon digital camera. So there. It's real. Go back to your lives folks.

EDIT 3: And this shot, finally, to put this to bed, almost literally as it looks like what the crew's ready to do in this photo. Yes, indeed, they do douse the lights in the cabin. But still... why the glare in the middle of the image? And why so few images overall? If they all essentially have the equivalent of their own phones on them, wouldn't they go snap crazy like any Instagram-addicted fool?
