Being in Space Cadet mode this week means playing all my space themed games, like I did with No Man's Sky a couple days ago as shown in this post. I booted up a previous save of Galactic Civilizations IV and lo and behold there's Artemis. Only it's not a moon mission, it's a planet that, according to the storyline of the game for the Terran Alliance faction which I'm playing, remained undiscovered until later in the last half of the 21st century somewhere in our solar system? Not sure about all that since, as you can see, the graphics are a bit cartoonish and like all these space 4x games, the concepts behind space travel break all sorts of laws of Einstein physics and shit. Okay, some mumbo-jumbo "warp drive" FTL speed ship but what about the time dilation problem? Anyway, the game designers gave the name of this hidden planet Artemis long before the current moon mission I'm sure. Just an interesting little coincidence.
