So I saw this cartoon posted in the pcmasterrace subreddit today:
OP says he updated the cartoon which originally had the top two frames and, with the highly-emergent and frighteningly escalating recent advances in AI decided to add the third. Well, he didn't say all that, I made up most of it based on what I think he was thinking and I can do that since I'm not a reporter quoting some dude on reddit, I'm paraphrasing the gist of his post and, after all, this is my fucking blog.
I got most of the intent of the cartoon but I was baffled by what I guessed were an eye dropper, a broken eggshell and a big can of beer with a girl on the label. I read through the thread. I wasn't the only one confused. The OP says that in the third frame, on the dude's desk we see a hammer, a broken piggy bank, and an AI waifu inside a holo tube. So basically, now I read it that in a few years time, this guy no longer has a beefier PC with more GPU, that's gone thanks to the AI Data Centers which gobbled them all up. He watches the death and destruction caused by said data centers on his TV and spends all the money he has in the world, including having to break open his childhood piggy bank in order to buy this device:
But I upvoted another user who posted something to the effect of "Why have a Zane when there was a Tayne right here?"
Just as good as when it was originally posted back in '13, only I'd beef it up with a smidge more FLARHGUNNSTOW.
