Okay, one last rant post about this fucking play. And mind you, of course, at my age I'm not even one of those foaming-at-the-mouth crazy Potterhead fans of a Millennial generation that grew up on the books and come at this Cursed Child business from that angle. But, that being said, I was a full grown man when the first movie came out and with all the hype it got, and my love of a good blockbuster back then, I made sure to watch the first, and subsequently, each of the other films, in the theaters as they came out, year after year. And I've seen each of the films several times more via rentals and streaming, been to THREE theme park lands dedicated to the IP and followed the fandom fairly closely. So, I guess I can agree well with these reviewer's below in what they have to say about this story.
Oh, and what's with the picture at the top? I kid you not that when I was researching YouTube for vids of critiques of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, on the right hand sidebar, this clip from an old SNL skit showed up. Maybe some others made the connection too, thus its utterance amongst the other shit in the algorithm? I don't know, but I thought a second and remembering the SNL bit from back in the day, I chuckled and said "Fuck yeah! That's it... The time turner crap makes about as much sense as this." Watch and be amazed at the similarity... Instead of Dr. Zeus they brought back Voldemort.
