So this is my new casual game jam. To say it's addicting is an understatement. Well, isn't that always the case every time I find one of these little hidden gems.
This one's not on the phone, it's old school baby, a web-based game. Well, I guess that's actually how it started out back in the 2000s and then it evolved into a mobile game and now the game producers have all but abandoned its web version in favor of the more lucrative phone app but you know me, if you give me the choice between playing on a teensy tiny little phone and my Mildred Command Center, you know what I'll choose.
Sadly though, the web version looks like it's a port of a mobile version. Must have happened sometime over the past few years or so as they upgraded graphics so obviously for the mobile version and just ported that to the website, but now the website just has this tiny little window available for gameplay even with F11.
Amazingly, I had been searching for years for a good multiplayer 8-Ball game. A year ago I found a great version of online 8-Ball on YouTube Playables but it didn't have multiplayer functionality. But I played the heck out of that against the AI and got to where I was playing against the hardest level pretty competently.
So now I'm playing against real people since this new game, well new to me since I just found it despite my past searches, definitely has that in abundance. In fact you can tell many players have been devoted to this game for decades and there are levels far surpassing where I am right now. Ah well, got to have goals in life.
I figure if my carport is a virtual seventy-six trombones parade ground, I can have my own digital River City pool hall up in here. Yessiree! And that also rhymes with "p."
