Senator Cory Booker Literally Upholding The Constitution |
Dressed in what I would say looks like a funereal suit, I guess it's appropriate considering the crux of his diatribe was to protest the quickening death of the freedoms and liberties of the people of this country at the hands of the president and his cronies.
A line must be drawn, and here it is. Now the question is, what will this historical achievement bring forth from here?
It can't just be an article or a soundbite or a blog post, it has to be a catalyst. But who, if anyone, will step up to the challenge and join Mr. Booker?
Yes, Mr. Booker has gone to Washington, Jimmy Stewart style and all, but what will We The People do in response? And I'm not just looking at Democrats, what about people who supported Trump, who believed in his lies while he had a razz-ma-tazz run on the campaign trail? What about the promises he made to you? Where are your economic securities? Where's your lower prices? Where's your safer communities? Remember when he said he was going to work towards ending the divisiveness? Hasn't he actually worked damned hard at really increasing the hatred for every type of American that he considers against him?
And now he wants things you never asked for? Did you want the Gulf of America? Do you want Greenland at "whatever it takes" costs? Do want to mock Canada and do you really even think it would ever accede to becoming a state of the US?
What about these tariffs? How are they affecting your 401Ks right now? Do you even really know how tariffs work? I don't. Not really. Speaking of which, tomorrow's Trump's Tariff Day. Watch the market crash. And watch Trump somehow blame Cory Booker's speech for being a modern-day "malaise speech" that affected the stocks, not his "brilliant" tariff scheme.
Then there's his illegal rush at deportations, his slash and burn campaign devastating government departments via Musk and his DOGE, his bizarre fixation, still, with the election and how he won and how "bad Biden was" at every single press conference, and now his toying with the idea of running for a third term despite the prohibition against it by the 22nd Amendment ("running" or "seizing?"). Or is he playing the obfuscation game while he tries to make everyone look away while he does the real destruction behind the scenes.
Oh, brother, I know I'm ready to get in some good trouble for sure.
