Now China, India and Japan, I believe, have all recently landed spacecraft on the moon but this is the first craft to originate from the good ol' USA since Apollo 17 in 1972.
As soon as the live feed commences, I'll type a timeline of events as well as, of course, some of the no-doubt astute and scientifically auspicious comments from viewers on good ol' YouTube.
Here's my decidedly overkill "command center" similar to the setup I had during this LIVE BLOG of another space milestone event from 2012.
5:30 - Still just pre-shows on all the streamers represented, namely: NASA, Intuitive Machines (the company that made the lander), SpaceX (ft. Elon Musk) and NSF (NASASpaceflight (an independent YouTube space fan YouTube channel). The SpaceX channel is unique, running a taped presentation from Musk offering some NFT deal? Not sure what that's about.
5:35 - Still no update.
5:36 - They're showing shots of the company's command center:

5:51 - Here's the real command center. I shut the other two computers down. I was just showing off. Plus, it was actually getting a little too warm in here, LOL!
5:58 - Oh. The announcer dude just mentioned the "insertion" is scheduled for around 5:11 Central Time and made no mention that this was late so, in fact, I guess the time was always in Central, not Eastern. My bad. Well, I'll keep this timeline in Eastern anyway.

6:13 - Showing a simulation of what the vehicle is doing right now:
6:18 - Chat is moving too fast for captures right now. 30% serious, 30% silly and 40% nonsense. Gotta love YouTube. No racist or super-inflammatory comments tho, it's not the old YouTube anymore I guess.

6:30 - They seem to be wondering if the lander landed and tipped over? Didn't this happen to the Japanese lander?

6:35 - They're getting a signal that's faint, but it's there. C'MON BUDDY, YOU CAN DO IT!
6:37 - Mission Director is confirming the equipment is on the surface and is transmitting.
