So This Happened Today

I woke up at 6:00 a.m. And watched this and thought, meh, not quite a big deal. But at least I saw it live right? It was very churchy, really slow and boring, with only a few good rousing baroque and classical numbers to tie it together.

The king looked impatient and pensive, Camilla looked like a deer in headlights. Later, with the balcony viewing, I kept thinking, "Is that the most royal looking you could get?" regarding Charles's appearance. He consistently looked like he was really not into this, fidgeting a lot and lazily laying his overly puffy hands on the regalia. And Camilla, when she damn smiled and showed her teeth with one of the front teeth darkened, girl, you're rich enough, you can't get that fixed! You look a fool. Both of them needed help to even get out of their seats half the time. Charles needed cue cards in order to know what he had to say during the proceedings, probably because he was rote taught his lines back when he was a teenager and has forgotten them since. Of course the comments on YouTube were pretty much as expected. Everything from "Oh I miss seeing Elizabeth during these things/" to "Screw Camilla, it should be Diana." So good luck Chuck, you got quite the ordeal in front of you. Luckily it'll only be for a few short more years before you too collapse and die and then we have to go through this all over again. God Save the King, or whatever.
