I know, I know...it's been such a long time since I've done a FLASHBACK post. I miss them too. I keep thinking about doing one every now and then but it seems when I think of some memory from my past, I find I've already posted about it. I catalogue the FLASHBACK posts and, believe it or not, I've posted 84 of them over the years since I started this blog. That's a lot of memories.
So here's kinda the 85th. I say "kinda" 'cause it breaks with some established conventions. First, it's not really a new entry, it's just a link to a post I did a few years ago. Second, it references a memory of an event that took place during the time this blog was active AND one that's already been reported here shortly after it took place. Lastly, it incorporates a picture. Pictures are usually reserved for SCRAPBOOK posts. I've never included a picture in a FLASHBACK post.
But I guess I'm a bit lonely and I miss my bud Ric. The Ric I used to know, that is, like the one from this trip. So as I was browsing his Facebook page tonight, I spotted this familiar photo which existed as his profile pic for quite a long time up until the past few months or so. I snapped it using his cell phone while we were enjoying our delicious lunch at a Bourbon St. eatery in New Orleans during a brief little weekend vacation we took together.
